Lucid Awakening

Lucid Awakening was a local band based out of Colleyville, TX.  Our style was Modern Rock/Progressive Metal.  Actually it was too much rock for the alternative guys, and too alternative for the rock guys, which kind of stuck us in the middle of the two; so no one like us.  It's a little late now but we would have fit pretty well in a Modern Metal context.  I co-wrote the majority of the music and lyrics with Andrew Oxley; we recorded a self titled demo and we played local gigs.

Funny fact:

Our original name was Tryst.  The basic definition is to arrange a meeting with somebody or keep an arrangement to meet.  We used this as a parallel with meeting with God for salvation and for the second coming.  Well what we didn't take into account is the second half of the definition that gives a more of an adult entertainment connotation.  We didn't use the name very long.
